My life changed dramatically when my 17 year old son started using heroin. He's 27 now, and still using. I lost my other "son" to overdose three years ago.
When someone says "So, tell me about yourself" my first thought is "I am the mother of a heroin addict and I already lost one to it". There is so much more to me - but it all takes a back seat to that one overwhelming horror.
This blog is for me, but I do hope it helps someone else to know they are not alone. I've been writing/blogging for years and have a ton of content out there, a lot of it written BH (before heroin). Most of those blogs are set to "invitation only". If you are interested in reading any of them, send me your email address and let me know which one you would like an invitation to.
